In dark and dingy hovels
where sunlight fights its way in;
In stinking and filthy lanes
Where maladarous water flows through;
In dusty wayside shacks
Where they eat to accelerate their end;
On accumulated garbage bins
Where humans and animals fight for a morsel;
In dungeons dark and evil
where gloomy eyes trade their bodies
In wombs filled with sin and disease
Where mankind cries for mercy
In sullen minds and perverse thoughts
where blood is cheap and bread so dear;
There, the dead yesterday carries no regrets
the unborn tomorrow no hopes. Close
This was sad :,( ... There's always hope!!...Can it be that... hope's within, not without??

A melancholic poem depicting a degenerated society where the womb is filled with sin and humans and animals fight for morsel.It is a call for the people to wake up and do something to reform the society .
I liked your poetry for portraying the reality.

Hi,

This afternoon only I was thinking the same thing....
In sullen minds and perverse thoughts
where blood is cheap and bread so dear;
Where there is no ego clash no display of honor
The day goes well if they got a loaf of bread
Honor ,pride ,jelousy and hatred
Oh! what a funny word ...........
when stomach is empty in hunger
You are right...
There, the dead yesterday carries no regrets
the unborn tomorrow no hopes.
Well said.....Any telepathy......
